Our stationary test systems for testing DC meters are not only equipped with the digital measuring system of the STM6000 series, but also have an additional safety component. This is required for DC test currents and voltages up to 1000 A and 1200 V. In our example, a light barrier is used as an additional safety feature to protect against contact with voltage-carrying parts. In the event of unwanted contact with the test area, it triggers the switch-off of the test voltage. The light barrier can also be used on transformer or AC meter test systems.
