Carnival has a long and strong tradition in the Rhineland. This year ZERA presented its traditional and carnival behaviour. After an exemplary carnival speech from the management the audience welcomed the “royal couple” prince Michael I. and princess Anke II. of F. F. Postalia (local carnival association) of 2017. The children and youth dance group as well as the marching band of the volunteer fire brigade accomplished them.
Solo dancer Leonie Schmidt-Küster (TUS Dollendorf 1913 e. V.) presented dancing on the highest level (German Bundesliga). She raised enthusiastic cheers for her brilliant show. Another dancing group of the youngest (Drachenfelsfünkchen of local association GKKG) and a gig of the “De 6 Orjelspiefe”, a band from our region with typical songs from Cologne were further highlights this afternoon. We enjoyed a great atmosphere. All Zeranians and guests had a blast.
