Although our laboratory has been subject to regular inspections by the DAkkS since 2000, the relocation now required a new assessment. The measurement uncertainty budget required for certification includes not only the inherent errors of the used reference instruments but also variations in the ambient temperature.
In one of the four phases of the accreditation procedure by the DAkkS, the assessment phase, these influences are evaluated and documented. The reasons for this are, among others, the traceability of the measurement uncertainty and the objectification of the measurement results.
Now that the Accreditation Committee has evaluated all the results, we are pleased to have received the new certification. We will continue to be able to provide calibrations of the highest quality that are compliant with standards, traceable and in compliance with the law.
