In addition to metrological testing, the fourth of our predefined, standardised meter test systems can also be used for comprehensive function and communication testing, including data analysis of a smart meter. The system is equipped with the STM6000 digital measuring system and numerous expansion modules. This provides additional interfaces that enable the meter communication to be analysed at all test positions.
An infrared scanning head is also in operation alongside the photoelectric scanning head. For example, it can measure the light intensity when receiving data. For the German market, it is also possible to send light pulses to the optical interface of the meter.
