a:m+i expert symposium

The members of a:m+i met in February for a testing laboratory conference in Wolfenbüttel/Lower Saxony. ZERA participated with a presentation on initial experiences with the MS 2020 testing system on the German market.

On 02/24/2016, the members of a:m+i met for a testing laboratory conference in Wolfenbüttel. The Agentur für Messwertqualität und Innovation e.V. (Agency for Measurement Quality and Innovation – a:m+i) held the expert symposium on important topics of metrology and calibration for the eighth time. ZERA participated with a presentation on initial experiences with use of the testing system for MS 2020 base meters on the German market.

The event was held at the Ostfalia University for Applied Sciences in Wolfenbüttel. About 120 experts from all over Germany attended the presentations on everything from the testing of complex, networked measurement systems to the legalities of metrology. Neander Pütz, who is responsible for the New Technologies department at ZERA as a Product Manager, presented the new testing system for MS 2020 base meters. He reported on initial experiences in using the new system and explained ZERA’s concept.

In contrast to testing solutions developed on the basis of simulation, ZERA operates with “true measurements.” All components, from the base meter to the control box to the gateway, operate under real conditions. The result is the testing of the entire system, including communication.
