In the surroundings of charging parks with a large number of charging stations, high-frequency interferences can occur in the grid. These are caused by inverters which convert the direct current (DC) generated by the solar panels into alternating current (AC). When measuring energy or calibrating charging stations for electric vehicles, these high-frequency disturbance variables (up to 150 kHz) lead to incorrect measurements with many measuring devices.
Our new reference meters of the s2 series are non-sensitive to interference frequencies from 2 kHz to 150 kHz and are therefore optimally designed to perform reliable measurements at EV charging stations when used with the EMOB test cases. Use energy meters that are non-sensitive to interferences – such as the MT310s2 reference meter – for testing charging stations in compliance with calibration regulations because metrological accuracy does not stop at e-mobility.
